Cameroon-Chad: New bridge to accelerate integration

A milestone for regional integration. on April 28, 2025, the Yagoua-Bongor Bridge is officially inaugurated over the Logone River, linking Cameroon and Chad.

The 620-meter-long structure cost 74 billion CFA francs, financed mainly by the African Development Bank, with support from the European Union and national contributions. Including the 14 kilometers of access roads and modernized checkpoints, the total investment reaches **92 billion FCFA.

The aim is to improve fluidity on the Douala-N’Djamena corridor, through which nearly 350 billion CFA francs of Chadian goods transit every year.
