Dangote Congo : Increase in cement sales to 878,000 tonnes in 2024

The Congolese subsidiary of Nigerian giant Dangote Cement recorded an 8.7% increase in sales in 2024, reaching 878,000 tonnes of cement.

This performance, driven by increased demand for exports to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Cameroon, enabled the company to post record sales of 121.1 billion naira ($80.7 million).

Dangote Cement Congo, which holds 62% of the local market, is also benefiting from the revival of infrastructure projects in Congo, such as the construction of hospitals and hotels and road repairs. With a production capacity of 1.5 million tonnes a year, the company has confirmed its status as a regional leader.
