Relaunching BRAFASO’s activities: Minister PODA visits the site

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Crafts, Serge Gnaniodem PODA, visited the site of Société Nouvelle Brasseries du Faso (BRAFASO), located in the commune of Komsilga, on  May 8th, 2025. The visit was part of the follow-up to the relaunch of activities at this strategic industrial unit.

The Minister was able to see the state of progress of the work, which includes the installation of production equipment. This equipment, which complies with international standards, is designed to guarantee the production of quality beverages to meet the demand of Burkinabe consumers.

The rehabilitation of BRAFASO is a large-scale project, mobilizing significant technical and human resources. It represents a key step towards modernizing Burkina Faso’s industrial sector.
The reopening of BRAFASO in the coming months is a major priority for the government, which sees the plant as a lever for economic and social development. Indeed, its revival will not only strengthen industrial sovereignty, but also create direct and indirect jobs for the population.
